Hapunan is a horror game deeply rooted in Filipino culture, designed to offer a unique and captivating experience for players. Developed using the Unity Game Engine, this project marks my debut in game development, and I hope you find it as enjoyable to play as it was for me to create.

Storyline

In Hapunan, you take on the role of Niko, a diligent balut vendor who finds himself entangled in a perilous situation. What begins as a routine task to obtain a business permit quickly escalates into a much larger and more complex issue. As Niko delves deeper, he uncovers a dark conspiracy involving the Barangay Captain, his perilous associates, and a violent history. Throughout the game, you will face challenging decisions, reveal hidden truths, and strive to protect your family. This narrative blend of suspense, action, and Filipino culture ensures an intense and emotionally charged journey.

Gameplay Duration

The gameplay is approximately 30-40 minutes long, providing a concise yet immersive experience.

Controls

To navigate the game, use the following controls:

– Mouse: Look around

– WASD keys: Move

– Shift key: Run

– Left Click: Interact

– Right Click: Zoom

– Tab key: Open/Close Inventory

– F key: Use Item

– Space bar: Equip Item and Skip Dialogue

– A/D keys: Cycle through Inventory

– Esc key: Pause the game
