Get ready to revisit the nostalgia of old-school text adventure games, reminiscent of the retro computers of the 80s and 90s. As you delve into the mysteries of Project Erinia, you’ll experience the classic charm that defined an era of gaming. This adventure, initially crafted in PAWS and released in 2020 for ZX Spectrum, has been revamped using the DAAD parser from Aventuras AD to support a broader range of retro systems.

In 2024, an Enhanced version was developed using Uto’s Maluva program and DAAD Ready, incorporating raster graphics and refining location descriptions for a more immersive experience. By early 2025, the game had been translated into English and ported to various 8-bit and 16-bit platforms.

Game Mechanics and Features

The game includes a life counter, accessible at any time by typing ‘LIFE’, with a maximum value of 100. It is crucial to be vigilant about environmental descriptions, act cautiously, and save your progress periodically. Throughout your journey, you will encounter enemies and must utilize available weapons and ammunition. Examining your weapons will provide crucial information to aid your survival.

A user manual is provided for players new to this type of adventure or unfamiliar with the parsers of the era. Feel free to refer to it before starting your journey. The vocabulary has been expanded from the original version, and using the verb ‘use’ in relation to objects can be particularly helpful in overcoming obstacles.
