In the world of Aesemyr, magic is not without its costs. Every mage understands this inevitability. Seeking solace, you retreat to a peaceful rural life, far from the intrigues and conflicts of the world. For two years, your existence is marked by tranquility.

But this serenity is short-lived. An unexpected visit sets you on a path you did not choose, and magic itself seems to be conspiring against you. You must once again draw upon your magical training to protect yourself and those you care about. The presence of elves in the capital heralds ominous news, and as another storm looms on the horizon, you embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind your accident and a plot that could destabilize the kingdom. The Withering is approaching, bringing with it a reckoning for the entire world.
